This year for Easter I decided to try a new dye for the eggs. I had always used food coloring opting for pastel colors so when I heard about how bright the colors were in Doc Hinkles paint-on dye I decided to go bold. We discovered Nikki was much better at this than I am.But what fun!
Wondering what the eggs are drying in? It is the insert from the Heart Shaped box of Truffles my thoughtful son brought me for Valentine's day. Worked perfectly as the box the dye comes in only has holes to hold four eggs at a time and you know we boiled a lot more than that as Mike is quite fond of deviled eggs.

Wow, the eggs came out great. What a clever way to dry them. It has been a long time since we have colored eggs. What a great way to share your Easter with others. I must update my Blog.
