What a beautiful day

Today was a beautiful fall day. And when I looked out back I saw this striking butterfly. I have never seen one with such a geometric design.

Full Moon on First Day of Fall

It is officially fall now! Yes!!! Last night my daughter and I went out for dinner at La Madeline's and it was only 80˚. So very nice out. And afterwards we stopped by JoAnn's Fabrics for some stiff interfacing for another project I am starting. When we came out the clouds were just clearing and there was that gorgeous full moon and Jupiter off the lower corner! Perfect! Great dinner, wonderful company, got what I needed at the store and a lovely drive home by moonlight. What could top that?

Ha! Only my son arriving just seconds ahead of us to install the new shelves in my sewing room closet! YES! What a wonderful day it was. I was even quite productive with sewing and baking and jewelry making ahead of all of that.

Can't wait to see what today will bring. Wait - the phone just rang and my new business cards are ready to be picked up. This day is starting out right!

Padding Cement

Great news! The padding cement arrived by UPS this afternoon! Yeah! The shipping was more than the product so I hope we have fun with this. I will keep you posted.

Take time or Make time!

I have been working on sorting and cleaning and organizing but in a very slow pace and I keep putting off the sewing closet to dead last. Well...

Seems I put it off too long and now I will have to MAKE the time to sort through all of those clothes and boxes and who knows what all! My grandson is coming today to move it all out for me. Yep that means some other room will be piled high with all this stuff! But I have to get it cleared out so I can sweet talk my son into coming over and repairing the damage. Wow, if I just got rid of most of those clothes - and yeah I obviously have to - I could maybe have him design and install some super storage in there...

This is why I never make any progress. He just replaced the light fixture in the kitchen for me as the ballast burned (at 4:00 a.m. no less). And I still need to 'patch' the paint as of course the light fixtures are not the same size and shape and the newer paint is noticeably different. I never seem able to finish one problem before the next one falls in my lap! Anyone else have weeks like this?
