Sheer poncho

Here is my lovely daughter modeling the 'poncho' I made for her.
I am not sure if poncho is the right term.
It is a sheer black fabric with the white letters.
It just seems so appropriate for a kindergarten teacher.

The fun thing is it can be worn in a variety of ways.
Here it is turned 90˚.

This was another quick and easy project.
I used the serger to do the finishing and for the first time a water soluble stabilizer.
That was a big help and I will be using more of this.

I thought I commented on this post. Maybe I e-mailed you instead. I love this poncho, it looks great on her and hope she has been enjoying wearing it. Love the matching head band also or is that hers and it just happens to match? You are amazing at what you make. I really wish I lived closer. I would be sewing a few things with you.

The headband was one she happened to be wearing that day. She wore the cape for school pictures with her kindergartners. It would be fun to have you here!

What a coincidence that she was wearing the headband that day. I bet she looked great for school pictures with her kindergartners. It would be so much fun to be there.
