Mudbugs

Yes, it is unofficially summer, at least it is on the third coast. Tonight was the neighbor's annual block party celebrating birthdays. It was rescheduled due to the flooding a couple of weeks ago. This year's music featured a younger group from around the corner. They were talented and we loved the sax! It was the usual large crowd and the light breeze with torches kept the mosquitoes down although they are large enough you feel them landing and can generally avoid being bitten. I confess I haven't yet gotten up the nerve to try the mud bugs. I am working on it. After all, I've eaten Sushi in Misawa and Escargo in Kenitra. Granted I was younger but I don't believe I have entirely lost my willingness to try new things. It's just that, well, I used to catch crawdaddies in the ditch when I was a kid. I dug nightcrawlers too and you won't catch me eating those! So...maybe next year.

Mud bugs do not sound very appetizing. I think I would pass. I am glad that you had a great evening, good company and good music, and a Sax. What more could you want. I think we are all happy for the good times in our lives.
