Playing with Clay

This afternoon I needed to squeeze in a clay project. And as long as I had to drag out all the clay supplies and the oven from the garage I decided WE should try out some candy corn jewelry (beads). My daughter is such a good sport and actually got into it and went to town making lots of beads. I look forward to seeing what she does with the rest of them.

It began with making round balls and smooshing them together for the candy corn and ended up with lots of just round beads besides.

We used Sculpey brand clay so it had to be baked in the toaster oven that I use for making some of the molds for my silver jewelry.

After it cooled I added some ear wires but had to first make some jump rings as I did not have any large enough. We each made a pair of earrings.

Later I will show what the original project was.
